It’s Friday, finally!
It has been raining like crazy here in the Twin Cities in the past few days. Weekends are usually reserved for coffee shops and brunch, shopping, or outfit shooting, but I wasn’t able to do any of those last weekend. So blame it on the rain! I was out last Sunday but was able to shoot only one outfit. Then Monday came with a bit of heat and sunshine, I got 2 more outfits shot right after work, thankfully! And then it rained again for the rest of the week. So all I’ve been doing is just staying in and window/online shopping to prepare for my trip to Hawaii next weekend. It’s a one in a life time trip, so I really want to make the best of it. Especially as a fashion blogger, I want to plan out my outfits the best way to maximize the limited luggage space and outfit possibility. So can you believe packing for a 10-day trip, plus I have to bring extra clothes to wear and shoot for my blog and Instagram? Trust me as I struggle just as hard as you trying to figure out what to buy and what to wear every single time.
I’ll be flying to Seattle first, and then leaving to Hawaii from there with my boyfriend to his sister’s wedding. This will officially be me and my boyfriend’s first big trip flying together. It’s a one in a life time trip, so I really want to make the best of it. Especially as a fashion blogger, planning for outfits to best maximizes the limited luggage space and outfit possibility to pair and mix-match are very tough. Or maybe I just think too much, sigh! But seriously though, can you believe how much clothes I have to shop for and pack for a 10-day trip, plus I have to bring extra clothes to wear and shoot for my blog and Instagram? Trust me, it’s my life constant struggle.
ABOUT THE OUTFIT: I bought this floral wrap dress last year at Nordstrom Rack at the Mall of America for $7.95. It’s less than $8, can you believe that? The dress is from ASTR The Label that I’m pretty sure it’s sold at Nordstrom’s junior section. I was hesitated to buy it I remembered since it wasn’t a designer brand. But I bought it anyways since I love wrap dresses or anything that I can adjust the fit by simply using the dress’ waist tie that comes with it. In addition, the floral pattern and fabric don’t look as cheap. And you know what makes it even better? It’s the midi-length in dresses that gets me every time. It’s funny seeing wrap floral dresses are everywhere from the grams to the streets this summer season. I’m so glad that I already have this cheaper alternative sitting in the closet.
I have styled this dress last spring season, HERE.
dress: ASTR the label 3-in-1 neckalce: Free People (similar, HERE and HERE) | 2-strap heels: Enzo Angiolini (very old, bought 2 years ago at Nordstrom Rack) | bag: Proenza Schouler | denim jacket: Levi’s (bought at Free People, HERE)
Have an awesome weekend, guys! Thank you, as always, for reading! Hope y’all well!
