Read part 1 of my travel diary: December road-trip to 4 States in 3 Days, here! Part 2, as promised, is gonna be all about what I wore during the trip. I didn’t pack a lot of clothes nor planning for any outfits this time (wish I did!). I just dressed comfortably and weather suited since the majority of my time was spent in the car driving. I found myself wearing the same clothes throughout the whole trip, but hope you’d pick up a few clothes pairing tips along the way. So read on…
outfit 1: I wore the black turtle-neck thin sweater from H&M during my flight from Minneapolis to Las Vegas the Friday night and wore it again the next day but layered it underneath this silk summer jumpsuits. I spent the whole day in this outfit eating and exploring California, went to Disney Land, and stopped by LACMA at night on Saturday. You’ve probably noticed that I’ve worn this blue jumpsuits before, many times, check it out here!
location: LACMA, LA and Disney Land.
outfit 2: You’re gonna be so bored seeing me wearing the same outfit below for the next days. But this outfit is a great example of how you can just wear something super comfy and basic, put on a different jacket, and call it a new outfit. The gray sweater is from Brandy Melville, sold at Pacsun. The black top underneath is actually a Free People’s bodysuit. I hate that i have to take everything off whenever I go to the restroom, but other than that I love how the look of bodysuits. The ripped-knee jeans are from J-brand, and I pretty much live in those everyday. Socks are necessary for road-trips as well, so take note!
locations: random stops on Highway 1 and the Big Sur, CA.
outfit 3: You could see below that I’d utilized the same base outfit as of outfit 2, but I added a jacket for a more outdoor-sy feel. The jacket is from J-Crew. Fun fact: if you search Barack Obama’s daughter, she’s worn the same jacket. hah! Shoes are Cole Haan’s.
location: Pfeiffer beach, Big Sur.
outfit 4: I borrowed my boyfriend’s jacket and made it work for San Fran’s weather. I think the camel bomber jacket is Gap’s. My red little backpack is a hand-me-down from my aunt’s client, a vintage Coach one! And the red coffee cup is from Starbucks, of course!
location: Pier 5 near the Ferry Building, San Francisco.
outfit 5: On me: American Apparel’s cream bodysuit, Topshop jeans, vintage Coach backpack, and Vince slippers.
location: downtown Portland, Oregon.
outfit 6: I flew home in this outfit, and what was layered underneath: the faux fur vest from H&M for added coziness. The burgundy shoes are from Zara.
locations: the 1st Starbucks in America, located in the Pike place market in Seattle.
YAY, you’ve made it to the end of this post. Thanks as always for reading the blog! Happy holidays, everyone!!!
