Fall is so near, and this breezy air has inspired me to pull out all of the sweaters and boots in my closet as well as start adding some fall piece that I don’t have. Not sure if I’m ready to wave summer goodbye yet, but I know that fall colors and fall layers hold a special place in my heart. In the early fall spirit, I am sharing 3 looks that hopefully will get you excited for the new season.

1. Linen boiler suit, Running sandals, & Bucket bag

The easiest way to go for this trend for fall is the tonal approach. I am wearing a new-in boiler suit made from linen, a summery type of fabric, but you can totally get away with looking like summer by opting for a darker shade. This linen is more like a taupe color, in the brown color family. I immediately thought of styling it with my new Staud bucket bag and opted for a utilitarian aesthetic by finishing it off with my trusty Luna strappy sandals. If you are wondering what the heck is Luna, read my previous blog post, here. They are not only so practical, comfortable to wear and run in, but also are so durable. I wear them like almost every day when I am not at work.

2. The Over-sized Plaid Blazer Look

Over-sized plaid blazers are everywhere, and I am still on the hunt for the one that I can rock for years. For some odd reasons, I look much better in fitted blazers which in turn look too office-like. Over-sized vintage blazers (many people’s favorite on Instagram) are not that easy to find! This Zara one has a great fit, but its fabric is not quite there yet in my opinion. However, it will do it for me just fine this season!  I very much enjoy pairing anything with the same same hem length as the blazer, showing some skin! I love how it elevates and instantly adds the fall vibe to a very summer pairing: white Tshirt and denim skirt. And the bucket bag had to make its appearance again because I’m obsessed!

3. 70s Revival

Free People is my go-to brand for cute summer dresses and fall sweater. They are pricy, but if you know where to look for, you can get pretty good deal from especially Macy’s and Nordstrom. I got this sweater at the Nordstrom store in Bellevue last week, and I believe it is currently on sale at the Free People store online. And I’ve linked it at the end! I love the color striped combo and the high neckline and the fabric that is really breathable and not so suffocating. I just wore it with my favorite GRLFRND denim jeans, Kozha bag, and Allsaints leather jacket, and I am a happy girl!
