Today I’m back with another outfit post featuring the best layering clothing item for sure that will keep you extra-snuggled in the winter: the Fur Vest. Tips for layering this fur vest:
- Choose a common thread color. What I mean by saying that is that either the layering piece has the same or similar color, texture, fabric with something else in the outfit. The great thing about the two jackets I’m featuring here is that they already have a fur lining (similar to the material of this fur vest), which makes the fur vest looks like it’s a part of the jacket! Plus this fur vest is off-white color, which is the same color as the white dots (outfit #1) or the white stripes (outfit #2) as well as the fur lining of the outer jackets.
- Wear a loser fit outerwear. If it is a lighter jacket, the fur vest can be worn outside. This post I’m showing you how it is worn inside heavier jackets. You might be wondering why so many layers, let me tell you… living in the northern Midwest like Minnesota, the winter here is brutally cold.
- Pair a thinner or tighter top, especially one with cute high neck-line like turtleneck or top with interesting pattern or color. The fur vest will most likely ‘swallow’ whatever is layered underneath, so most of the time people will just opt for a boring body-tight shirt. Here I’m showing you a can really elevate the look and makes it more interesting.
- Necklace especially those big and chunky statement making ones are recommended. As you can see in the Outfit #2 below, my neck was bare, a cute necklace would have made a difference.
