Slip dresses are having their biggest moments, from solid colored to floral or lacy ones. My favorites are those that look as smooth as they feel, especially those that are made from 100% silk. I’ll probably invest in a silk pillowcase or two since I’ve heard good things about those that are so gentle to our face and hair while sleeping. An easy styling tip for fall is layer a white t-shirt underneath, add a warm and cozy sweater or cardigan, and add a hat and a pair of cute booties. I’d most likely go for a turtle-neck option since it’s pretty much the only thing that makes me wanna look forward to colder weather. As much as I love fall layers and fashion, I don’t want summer to end, at all.
For day 9, I’d like to share a slip option, not silk, unfortunately. This dress I’m wearing is actually an outer dress of a 2 layered dress. The actual slip dress is a mini floral baby pink one. I’ve worn that dress on its own, see that outfit, HERE.
I found this dress at Macy’s, very randomly, at their sale racks in the corner of the store in Southdale mall, Edina, Minnesota. I rarely go there since it’s almost an hour away from where I live. I live in the suburban area near St. Paul, MN, in case you’re wondering. Southdale’s Macy’s is the only Macy’s I go here in the Twin Cities, and I think that’s the best one. They’re the only one who carries higher end designers like St. John, Marc Jacobs, BCBG, Nanette Lepore, Trina Turk, etc. So I found this dress, Free People, for $30. The lady associate had to double check that the dresses were together as one. They were attached by a thin strand of fabric by the straps since they’re supposed to be worn together. But I ended up wearing them separately since the mini slip had opaque enough fabric.
Hope you’re having a fantastic weekend!
