In today’s ‘1 Piece 3 Ways’ post, I’m going to share with you how I’ve styled my absolute favorite broWn knit sweater from MANGO. MANGO is a Spanish-owned fast fashion brand, similar to ZARA and H&M. They are more like ZARA but a more grown-up or older sophisticated sister. I used to love shopping at ZARA, but I’ve noticed that the fit and quality have gone down a lot. MANGO is no exception as the majority of the stuff that I ordered from them has got to go back. MANGO quality is slightly better, but the fit is really a hit or miss. I am 5ft5 and fit most XS or S sizes out there, but MANGO stuff tends to run super large on me for some reasons. For chunky sweaters like this one, I’ve found, is quite forgiving. I am obsessed with the brown color and the chunky crew neck. Sadly, it is made from 56% acrylic and 46% polyamide, all synthetic materials, so I feel like I have to wear it a lot more often just to make it worth its usage before hitting the land field. In fact, I reach for it every time! I have worn it with my green Outdoor Voices techsweat leggings on road trips and errands, with jeans, with skirts, and over midi-length dresses (my absolute favorite way!). It is so lightweight and incredibly cozy! You should check it out as it is currently on sale!
Here I am wearing the chunky knit over an old black midi dress that I got from H&M years ago. It’s the easiest way to make summer dresses work in the winter. Add some sheer tights if you live in the colder climate! I’ve minimized the ‘skin showing’ by wearing a pair of high ankle black boots that I got from COS. They have some interesting sculptural heels as you’ll see in the photos below. I also love my Staud bucket bag so much that I literally pair it with every outfit possible. Its tan color is incredibly versatile and complement lots of neutral outfit combination.
This look is my absolute favorite pairing as of the moment! Again, feel free to add a top coat over it for warmth. Winter in Seattle is so mild, and this outfit pairing has kept me warm the whole time. I’m featuring the incredible minimal tribar earrings that I got gifted by AURATE, a New York based jewelry brand that I think you all should check out! I love their minimal, clean, and very sophisticated aesthetic and design.
If you follow me on Instagram and keep up with my IG stories posting, I’m sure you’ve heard of me raving about the Essie pants from Aritzia. I got the black colored over the Black Friday sale for 10% off and later got the light gray ones online, both size 0. They are pleated, fit very high waisted with looser legs and slightly tapered at the ankle. They look incredibly cool when paired with looser casual tops like sweaters and cream sneakers. In case you don’t know one annoying fact about Aritzia is that all of their sales are final. They’re strict in return policy, so make sure you have a proper try-on session in-store before committing to any sale purchases. Their sizing is also confusing since Aritzia has many sub-labels, and my favorites are the Wilfred and the Babaton label. They do get snagged occasionally since the weaved/crepe fabric is on a slightly looser side. Here I’ve paired the MANGO knit with the black Essie and my reebok sneakers. I wore this outfit when picking out Christmas tree at the farm. It was such a fun (and expensive) experience, but I loved my tree!
I hope you’ve enjoyed my pairings! Which look is your favorite? Do you have a favorite knit that you keep reaching for this winter season? I feel so blessed that Seattle winter is so mild, but I do miss the snowy winter at times. Feel free to add a top coat and a warm scarf if you live in a colder climate! Thanks again for stopping by!
