I’m so excited to share with your one of most favorite fashion finds lately. It is the double-breasted blazer that I’ve recently bought from Mango. I initially planned to wear this outfit (or at least the blazer worn over my silk Realisation Par dress) to wear for New Year’s Eve, and it magically appeared after 3 weeks. And I was glad that this blazer ended up being my most favorite piece. It is long. It is structured, and there are real shoulder pads which surprisingly flatter my body type. And the best thing is that it looks like a thrifted piece!

If you know me, I have been searching high and low and everywhere for a thrifted oversized blazer that looks nice and fits me decent for years. This Mango find (obviously not a real vintage piece) instantly sparked this idea in my head. If you read my ‘2018 Style in Review,’ you’d know that I’d want to continue the theme ‘buy less, and invest in quality.’ I know it will be tough to stop shopping fast fashion completely, but I will make a true effort in reducing the quantity and invest in quality this year. I am still brainstorming ideas in ways to document this journey, perhaps I’d start with styling old pieces that I already have in my closet and purge out whatever does not work with my style anymore. Clothes that I have bought over the years really do have a personal connection and period of time in my life, so it will another challenge on its own. Does the show ‘ Tidy Up with Marie Kondo’ on Netflix really help since I start seeing more and more people on the internet tidying up their home and purging things?
