Mark your calendar, April 16th is the national ‘Wear Your Pajama To Work’ day!

It is the day after all taxes are due, so let go of your stress and wear your pajama to work.

*Note to self: I need to do my taxes asap!

I would 100% rock this look if I were to work in a office, unfortunately, I work at a lab and am required to wear a lab coat. But other than that, I would wear pajamas out any days and everywhere else.

I do not personally wear fancy pajamas to sleep as I hate having unnecessary bulky layers and lengths in both sleeves and pants that often come with pajamas. I love the idea of wearing matching silk pajama sets, however, it is just not so practical I am sure lots of you can agree on. Last year, I literally bought this Topshop x Kate Moss pajama floral top with an intention of wearing it as a top, not to go to sleep with it! It was on sale for less than $20 at Nordstrom Rack, so I bought it thinking I might be able to rock that top one day. Seriously, it looks like something my grandma would wear, but hey, never say never! Couple of days ago when I was digging through my piles of clothes, I found this top and felt the urge to wear it. Here I’ve paired it with a pair of kick flare high waisted denim and finish the look off with some black accessories. I love how it is modern yet has a touch of class, very old-school, vintage, grandma-ish, casual yet cool.

Wearing pajama out on the street (either worn as a matching set or paired a top or bottoms separately with other clothing items) is not a new idea. Lots of high street stores do these kind of ‘wear your pajama to work’ type of look these days. They are made from various types of material, often cotton, satin, or silk, to different prints and patterns. ASOS and Jcrew have some really cool and affordable ones which I will link them at the end of this post. My tips for you are to make sure yours is not wrinkly (my fashion no go!) nor has stains on it. A quick steam (read my post here for my absolute favorite portable steamer!) will do the trick most time in making you look put together.

Special thanks to spring and the weather that have recently blessed the city of Seattle with so many amazing floral scenes. It is so sad seeing the pink and white blossoms are quickly replaced by the green and purple leaves. I spotted so many of these cool trees with gigantic red and pink flowers, and I cannot help but shooting by them. Someone please tell me the name of these trees/flowers! As much as I am excited to take in how gorgeous spring in Seattle is, I cannot wait for sunshine and 90 degree weather this weekend. My boyfriend and I are doing the road trip to Arizona and Utah with his cousin and his cousins’ girlfriend whom I have never met. I am excited, regardless. And I will definitely keep you guys updated as to what I am up to on my Insta-stories as always! Stay tuned for some cool photos on Instagram and the blog as well! Thank you for reading as always! I hope you are having a fantastic week. Feel free to let me know what your weekend plan will be!
