ddHappy June!!! Summer is quickly approaching as I can smell it in the air. The sun is out with its full force here in the Twin Cities. Make sure you make use of these gorgeous pre-summer days! It’s already in the 5th of June, and that means I’m due for a monthly favorite. Here are what I’ve been loving in the past month of May.

TRIP TO SEATTLE
Early May, I booked a spontaneous trip out to Seattle. Sun Country has those very discounted flights on Tuesdays, called ‘Wing It,’ deals. I got mine for $89 one way each. Flights to Seattle on average are usually $400 two way. So paying less than $200 was such a steal! So I asked for a Friday off work and flew out to see my boyfriend for the weekend. I got to witness the beautiful spring sceneries, ate a ton of good food, and got to explore more nature outside of the Seattle’s parameter. I did an 8-mile hike up the mountain out East of Seattle, and that was by far my most favorite hike ever. It’s quite unfair to mention this whole trip as ‘one thing’ in this past month’s favorites, but it’s difficult to pick and choose just one thing! Yeah, if you’ve ever wondered whether you should visit Seattle, please go for it. The whole city is packed with so many amazing restaurants and food spots within a short drive. You can get easy access you the beaches or to the mountains within a 30-minute drive. The city is so lush and green in the spring/summer time. Winter is rainy, but it’s not a down pouring kinda rain like in the Midwest.

TRIP TO LAS VEGAS
This trip was planned months ago, 11 of us, all meeting in Las Vegas for chi Diem’s bachelorette party. In Vietnamese, ‘chi’ means an older female, called in respect to the elders. Chi Diem is one my dear friend/sisters whom I know from the Eucharistic youth group that I’ve been a part of since forever ago. The entire trip consisted of lots of eating yummy food with free mimosa, sunbathing by the pools, and staying up late dancing the night away. I got to see Diplo at the Encore beach club, as well as OT Genesis and P Diddy at the light night club though. I had the time of my life with the girls!
I didn’t plan to blog about this trip, so sorry for the lack of photos. I did snap a lot of food and spontaneous moments on Snapchat and Insta-stories though.
So feel free to add and follow me:

BIRSTOLS SIX’S NIPPIES | SKIN
May was the month of me buying and trying out lots of new products. I’d heard of this brand of nippies a few months ago form Ingrid Nielson, one of my all-time favorite Youtubers who talked about it a few times in her videos. I usually don’t find these recommendations to be quite necessary to go out and buy them right away. The thing that got me intrigued was that she mentioned about the fact that the nippies were washable and could be worn unlimited times. I decided to purchase two in order to qualify for free shipping. The nippies came in 3 skin shades: light, medium, and dark. I got mine in a medium tone. To be honest, I wish the nippies were a bit more opaque in color so that they would ‘mask’ the actual nipples’ color. But other than that, I was extremely impressed with their staying power. They practically stay on for as long as I peel them off. I find sweats get collected inside, quite weird but it’s not a big deal overall. And you know what? They come in a box (as seen in the picture below), so I can just let them air-dry, store them in that box, and travel with it. So genius!
I bought 2 of these in order to qualify for a free shipping option since I hated paying for shipping. 🙂 I’ve linked the product at the end of this post.

LEVI’S JEANS JACKET
I found this jacket when browsing around the Free People store at the Mall of America. Funny that there’s a Levi’s store right upstairs, not too far away from the Free People store. I decided to check the Levi’s store out first to see if they had this jacket for a cheaper price. Funny that they didn’t have this jacket nor anything quite as cool. I had been on a hunt for a denim jacket for quite sometimes now. I went home and couldn’t stop thinking about that jacket. So a week after finally making my mind up, I went to the Free People store and bought it. I can’t wait to style it so many different ways in the future. I’ve linked it below.
Yay, congrats for making it until the end of this lengthy post. Those were my top 5 things I had been loving in the month of May. Well, if you count my travels as ‘things.’ Honestly, I feel so spoiled with all of these non-strop travelings this year. I’m forever grateful for these opportunities that I get to go places and do what I love doing, like traveling and blogging. Thank you for reading and being a part of my journey! I hope you’re having a fantastic and productive week ahead! Make sure to come back tomorrow for an outfit pairing post.
