My New Year resolution for the blog is to bring you awareness to sustainable fashion brands and labels. I hope one of your resolutions this new year is to make more of a conscious choice in buying fashion as well. On Style & Senses, I have a series called Brand Focus where I talk about brands that I love, highlight their products that best represent their brands and missions while telling you their success stories. Successful brands are not necessarily big or high end ones that sell expensive stuff. I am talking about brands that created by passionate people who believe and stand by their products. And they are proud of that. With much admiration, I wish one day I could to the same.

BERG + BETTS reached out to me couple weeks ago and asked me to pick out a timepiece from their collections. I was a no brainer that I gravitated towards the Original with a big round face with a minimal and clean look. So let me tell you a bit more about the company in today’s Brand Focus post as well as my take on styling it. BERG + BETTS is a Canadian watch company that makes it very transparent about where their watches come from as well as their mission in sustainable fashion. Their watches are designed and assembled in Canada using parts crafted in the city of Dongguan, Hong Kong from certified suppliers. Their suppliers are members of SEDEX, a not for profit organization that ensures and manages performance of suppliers or companies around the world about labor rights, health and safety of their workers, as well as environment and business ethics. Their approach is to utilize surplus leather cut offs from shoe and bag making process that would otherwise go into waste and turn them into beautiful timepieces. And not to mention, they offer a good selection of styles and colors. You can read more about BERG + BETTS here.

Each BERG + BETTS watch is retailed for $129.

They kindly offered me a coupon code for you guys to shop, so feel free to use STYLEANDSENSES, for 20% off your timepiece order!

Every girl never has too many black leather things. And if you have been reading my blog for awhile, you have probably noticed I do wear a lot of black. Genuine leather pieces with great draftsmanship are guaranteed to last, and I find myself reaching often for them, especially in accessories like bag, shoes, and watches. Hence, I picked out the black leather watch with gold metal detailing. I was actually impressed upon its arrival as to how gorgeous it looked in person, and luckily, it fit my tiny wrist just right as well! Here, I have added a pop of color featuring the all time favorite olive green parka. The all black base outfit is my go-to failed safe combo that consists of a black turtleneck tucked in a pair of pleated jogger styled pants and a pair of pointy mid-heels. It is casual, classic, slimming with a touch of masculinity that is very much my style I’d say. I added a hat to keep it easy-going and give the outfit a relaxed feel to it, except the wind would not want to corporate. Regardless, I hope you like my take on styling this classic timepiece! Let me know if you have any questions regarding my watch and what are your favorite pick/s from Berg + Betts? Don’t forget to use my code STYLEANDSENSES to save some money towards your stylish watch too!
(Disclaimer: The watch was sent to me for free in exchange of a styling blog post and Instagram photos. All ideas and photos are mine! I do not make any money from your purchases either!)
