Hi guys! Last year, I shared this post and 3 outfit pairings with tips on how to dress ‘colorful’ for fall. As you know, I love creating a series of posts that give you ideas on how to elevate your daily from outfits to photo locations, so today I thought I’d share a part 2 to this “3 Refreshing Fall Color Pairings” and make it a series!
Blue and orange are complementary colors in the color wheel, and to our eyes, those are scientifically flattering shades. Read more here! Red and green, yellow and purple, and orange and blue are opposite colors but attract!
The camel color of my cardigan is on the faded orange shade, and the blue of the trousers is not really true blue. Hence, they work! Since I’m a fan of putting together the utility-inspired outfits and making them look a bit more feminine, I thought throwing an oversized cardigan off the shoulder is a cute way to show off my figure! The trousers are my recent find at Zara, and they have big side pockets and decorative straps on the ankles with a paper-bag waist style. For baggy trousers like these, it’s best to opt for a form-fitting top to balance the proportion. And I have on an old white bodysuit and a paired of matching white strappy sandals.

This outfit is inspired by the fall leave colors, yellow and orange to brown.
I’m very positive that y’all are familiar with Everlane and Uniqlo because I’ve talked about them way too much here on my blog. This mustard yellow and golden brown pairing was featured in my IG-stories try-on session, and I decided to rewear and shoot it for the blog since many of you loved it. I have this mustard turtleneck sweater in gray as well. It’s machine-washable, so comfortable, and affordable as well! Size 1 size down in these Everlane trousers if you’re interested in getting a pair! They come in so many different colors and are perfect for office, school, weekend out and about.
Bejeweled shades like this so jaded eyeshadow palette from Kathleen Lights (one of my favorite Youtubers) with Colorpop is the perfect example for color inspiration for the holidays.
These high-waisted black pleated trousers are parts of the suit, the blazer is worn here. I got both in size XS, but the trousers are very big on me, especially the length! Ideally, I’d bring them to the tailor to get them hemmed to pair them with higher heels. However, the oversized suiting is a trend, it makes it okay to have the pants looking quite big and long. I’ve paired them with my favorite sleeveless emerald green textured top that I thrifted a few years ago. This look is perfect for any holiday gathering with family and friends! Perfect for a creative office meeting or any fun festive events that you have going on!
I hope you’ve found some inspiration to play with more colors this fall and winter season coming up. Thanks for reading and have a great weekend!
