My Most Worn Sandals of 2018! (ft. Luna Oso 2.0)

And the award goes to the one and only Luna Oso 2.0.

These are the actual running shoes that pros use! I know about Luna (a Seattle-based company) through my boyfriend who has a brother that is an avid runner. One day, my boyfriend and I just decided to visit the store to give Luna sandals a try. We were both convinced and immediately bought two. As you might know me by now, I am not the most athletic or that into fitness type of person. I am an adventurous type but do not take anything to the extreme. I love the outdoors and would go out hiking and camping anytime. I know it’s weird that I don’t even own a pair of hiking boots compared to the numerous hiking photos you see on my Instagram feed. Eventually, I have to just buy one even though I still think hiking boots are ugly and expensive. I hike in my Nike Air Pesto, and they do not only look fashionable but also do a great job at keeping my feet insulated and protected on trails. And other time especially for shorter easier hikes, I just wear my Luna.

Below are the Oso 2.0 specs that you might be interested:

Keep on reading to see how versatile these are. I literally brought them up the mountains and down the sea. I wear them almost every day and whenever I could because they are just so comfortable and easy to slide on and off. Not to mention, these are super easy to clean and dry so fast. The best part is that they feel so light on and fit so snug but the straps don’t rub. They do take a bit of time, in the beginning, to adjust the straps and get my feet used to, but I was running around like a happy kid on day 2. I think the staff at Luna is super friendly and helpful which I always recommend people to pick up the shoes and try them on in the store. They make these per order, so it’s best to to as much research about these as you can prior to placing an order online. If you live far away, each pair of sandals come with very clear visual instructions of how to adjust them by yourself at home. I think you will do it just fine! Be warn! They are addictive, and you might ignore all of your other uncomfortable sandals like I did. 🙂

Below are are of my summer adventures that Luna came along. Also, see how versatile and stylish they are.

1. Franklin Fall

I was inspired by Outdoor Voices and how they styled their models in the swim collection, here. And immediately, I thought about pairing my new Outdoor Voices set with my Luna.

Franklin Falls, located in the Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest, is an easy hike that is kid and family friendly. On days that you feel super lazy, you can park your car on the street near the falls, and it takes 5 minutes to get down there. I like that it is an open area, quite crowded, but really relaxing! Totally recommend after a long exhausting work week if you don’t mind the drive (about an hour from downtown Seattle).

2. Sunrise Point, Mr. Rainier

3. Cannon Beach, Oregon

Did I mention my Luna dry within minutes? They are perfect to wear running around the beach, and the traps hold my feet slippy and slidy-proof from the sand! Here I’ve styled them with a more feminine ruffled dress with my summer straw favorites: Lack Of Color Sunnydip hat and the Xinh&Co Toko net bag.

A few weeks ago, Luna DMed me on Instagram offering me a free pair of Luna. I almost cried from happiness. Their reason simply is because they love the way I’ve styled my Luna. So I got myself a pair of the Cholocate Mono, in brown leather. They’re a bit fancier, made from buttery soft leather, so I try to be more careful with them and only make sure I wear them around town. Thanks Luna!

Disclaimer: Luna did not ask me nor know that I am writing this post. I just genuinely love the brand (as you can obviously tell by how often I wear them) and want more of you guys know about them.
