Isabel Marant Black Lecce Belt Review & Styling 1 Piece 3 Ways

Fall is coming, and I’ve been waiting for the moment when the temperature drop and the leaves change their colors. It’s my favorite season in terms of fashion because I get to play with all of the layers and get really creative with my outfit pairings.

Since all of my past blog posts have been very outdoorsy-focused, I want to inject some fashion content back in hopes to give you some fall fashion inspiration. So as you can tell by the title, I’m sharing 3 outfits featuring my beloved belt from Isabel Marant a well as a little bit of the brand background. Let’s start, shall we?

about Isabel Marant

Isabel Marant is a French designer, and her eponymous brand, founded in 1994, is known for its chic bohemian effortless-Parisian vibe. In 1999, she launched Isabel Marant Étoile with a focus on reworked classic Isabel Marant pieces but for a younger audience. Think of it as a diffusion line. Étoile means a star in French.

I don’t personally own a lot of Isabel Marant clothing pieces, but I do have a pair of Isabel Marant Étoile sandals that I got on sale from Sak Off 5th (the downtown Seattle store) and this Isabel Marant Black Lecce Belt on Ssense last year when they did their biannual sale. I find that her clothes are a bit too bohemian for me. I like her color palette but sometimes her embellishments elements like fringes and floral prints can feel like a lot for my minimal style.

REVIEW Isabel Marant Black Lecce Belt

Isabel Marant Lecce Belt is essentially just a piece of leather with a tab-slot fastening. It comes in black, white, khaki, brown, and even snake print. I am a 25 in waist, and mine is in size Small.

Size S. 75 cm. Leather. Made in Italy.

It did take me a few trials to get it looped correctly at first, and I had to pull up a picture of it online to figure out where and how to fasten it. But by now, I can easily do it without any help.

What I love about this belt is the looping knot-look and how versatile it is. The design is so simple yet sleek and timeless. The end result is a unique knot that is statement-making yet subtle enough to be paired with so many different outfits.

Styling Tips

I’ve been wearing it higher at the smallest part of my waist over dresses and use it to belt blazers. However, my go-to styling trick is to just wear it as a normal waist belt on almost all of my high-waisted trousers. It adds a unique, subtle yet statement-making touch to any simple and plain outfits, perfect for my style and what I look for in a piece of accessory. Trust me, you’d be surprised as to how much a little belt like this can do to an outfit, and below are some outfit pairings to give you some ideas. Enjoy!

Tube knit-top: ARITZIA | trousers: thrifted | bag: YSL | sunglasses: Old Celine | jewelry: earrings, rings, top chain necklace MEJURI, bottom chain necklace AURATE NY | watch: NORDGREEN

blazer: ZARA | nude tank: AMERICAN APPAREL | bag: YSL | jeans: AGOLDE | mules: JIMMY CHOO

dress: TOPSHOP | blazer: ZARA (same as outfit 2) | watch: ROSEFIELD | earrings: MEJURI | mules: JIMMY CHOO

Hope you’ve found this blog post helpful. Let me know how you would style this belt. What is your favorite look in this post?
