A Weekender Style

Happy Monday! Hope your weekend was amazing!

I did not get to do a lot of things since it rained pretty much all day on Saturday. After our late brunch, my boyfriend and I made a quick stop at the University of Washington campus where he shot photos of the cherry blossoms last spring. I made a visit in spring, here, but did not make it in the cherry blosson season. But I will make a visit to the cherry blossom garden at the UW. Just cause, you know! It finally cleared up on Sunday. We made a trip to the Snowqualmie Pass ski resort, a bit further out east of Seattle. And to my surprise, there was so much evergreens with snow-filled-tops, and it was so crowded, of course! Even though I did not get to ski this time, I did have a lot of fun sledding and enjoying the gorgeous scenery. It kind of made me miss the winter in Minnesota though. After that, we made a stop at Pho Than Brothers, and I finished the entire medium-sized bowl. It was pretty good pho considering that I am Vietnamese and have had quite a lot of bowls in my entire life. I got a bit excited when I discovered an old but cute magazine shop just across the street and bought my very first The Gentlewomen. It is a British independent women magazine that is very well-known in the social media sphere.

As you migh probably have seen the photos of this outfit on my Instagram, this is for sure my most-worn outfit pairing of choice. Once in doubt, wear black! However, if you don’t want to look like you’re headed to a funeral, always opt for a non-black outterwear like how I am wearing here. For fall weather or the winter season that is not so cold here in Seattle, a long-sleeve knit, some boots, and a light jacket are enough to keep me look stylish and warm at the same time. A longer length in jackets is what I most prefer in. And another tip to look more put-together is to opt for pointy-toed heeled boots.

Let me know in the comment section below if you enjoy the outfit and how the photos were shot.

tote: Saint Laurent (bought in store at Nordstrom, in color: noir), cheaper alternatives: here and here

Yup. it is the newest addition to my bag collection. I needed a tote or a bag that was big enough to put my laptop in, for me to carry around town and weekend day-time out to coffee shops. And my boyfriend was sweet enough to gift it to me. I will do a blog post, possibly, and review the bag. It is a classic, very affordable, mommy bag if you are wondering! I am planning to use it for grocery or diaper bag after its 10 years usage. Just kidding! You can do some more research to fin dit out for yourself though! Other colors, like the nude one, was on sale for 30% at Barneys the last time I stopped by their shop in downtown Seattle. Unfortunately, I have never seen the black one is on sale.
