As soon as I heard Who What Wear did a collab with Target, I ran to the nearest Target store to check it out right away. Right after Easter, after the very successful collab with Victoria Beckham, Target jumped right into their next exciting collab with WhoWhatWear. And you know what? It won’t be a one-off collab, but a monthly thing where they will drop one capsule collection every month started from February featuring street-styled clothing and accessories. Everything is under $50.
OUTFIT DETAILS: paper-bag pants: WhoWhatWear collection at Target (here) | bodysuit: Free People | sweater (worn over shoulder): American Apparel | sandals: Saint & Libertine (bought last year at Nordstrom Rack) | anklet: ASOS
THE FIT & SIZING: I wear bottoms size 25, 0, or XS-S, and these in XS fit me perfectly. One thing to note about the fabric that it got so creased after I wore them for a while. I just used the tie that they came with to cinched up at the waist. I just wish that they would be a little longer though.
Affordable fashion pieces sometimes come with a price. If you ask my honest opinion about the collection, I’d say they have a good variety of options, from trendy ruffled to floral tops, skirts, and pants, dresses, and accessories such as mule sandals and bags, but the fabric choice was the main issue. As a frequent shopper, I do have a high standard for quality of the fabric. The fits of some of the pieces that I tried on were really a hit-and-miss as well. For example, these paper-bag pants, worn here, fit me perfectly and just a little bit shorter that my taste. Or I really loved this dress, the way it fit on my body, the length, the flare, pockets and belt details, but except the very unnecessary extra fabric gathered around the back and chest area. I tried on a few other dresses and some pants, but these paper-bag pants ended up being the only item I purchased. I agree that most of the items in the collection have a really good price point, but I could pay that much for a much better quality item at H&M.
I’d urge you to read more reviews online before making any purchase or definitely go try it on for yourself at the store. I love Target, and this is my first time buying something from their clothing section. This collab has breathed in a new fresh air to their entire fashion selections. It was, overall, a fun experience picking out and trying on exciting fashion pieces now at Target. I’m excited to check back next mont. I hope you’ll pick up a few things from the collection, try them on, and let me know what you’ll end up buying. See you there! Have fun!
