Over The Knee

If you have been reading my blog for awhile, you’ll know that majority of my clothes are from the highstreets. I barely wear jewelry and shop for bags mainly because I want to invest in the classic designer ones that for sure will last me for years to come. With shoes, I am always hesitant to spend my money on. I used to shop at designer outlets or stores such as Nordstrom Rack and Sak Off Fifth for designer shoes on sale. A local designer outlet that I frequented was Opitz, in St. Louis Park, MN, so definitely stop by if you are ever around. I love their 90% of or final sale section in the back room.

Now that I live in Seattle and do not own a car. Venturing out to explore the shopping scenes is extremely tough for me. In addition, Seattle is not a free-of-tax state and living expense here is high, I have to limit my shopping trips these days.

Finding over-the-knee boots is the task that I always dread. I knew I always wanted Stuart Weitzman as my first ever over the knee boots. They had to be black, suede, and higher in heels with of course a good fit, easy to take in-and-out, and most of all, comfortable. The HILINE boots fit all of my categories! They are well-known in the fashion blogger community that one who does not own a pair is not qualified as a blogger. Just kidding! They are expensive but well worth the splurge. The drawstring top is such a classic detail that is actually a functional detail. It helps to secure the placement of the boots in the mid-thigh area. I do experience that they fall down a bit when walking, but that is a minor concern. I am size 7.5, and these 7.5 fit me perfectly. Regardless of such height, they are super comfortable to walk in. I can easily fold the top bit down and slide in and out the boots easily.

Nordstrom HQ, Seattle: I got these over-the-knee boots at the Nordstrom HQ in downtown Seattle for 20% off just last week. Other similar styles from Stuart Weitzman did go on sale on Black Friday, but I missed it! So I was over the moon when finding out these Highline went on sale. At the HQ, it is such a pleasure every time I browse for things there. They pretty much have everything at the HQ. I feel like all of their employees are paid by commission, so they are extremely good with customers’ needs. I love shopping there since they have pretty good customer service, fast shipping, and easy return policy.

the boots: Stuart Weitzman the HILINE here

the turtleneck sweater (worn as a dress since I bought it in size L): Uniqlo (similar here and here)

the fur vest: Hawke & Co (bought on sale at the Opitz outlet in MN, similar linked below)

the bag: Proenza Schouler here

I hope you like this outfit pairing. I know the sweater is a bit short to be worn alone, but I have my high boots to back it up. I cannot wait to style these boots in more looks for you guys! Thank you for reading! I will try to get another blog post before the year ends, so stay tuned on my Insta-stories for any announcements. Have a great weekend!
