Fall is the season of fashion, and I can tell you that anyone who has the love for clothes would feel the same way. This summer, I did a low-buy month in June, did two road trips: one in July and one in August, and went heavy on the thrifting all throughout. As much as I enjoy doing all aspect of fashion, I crave the autumnal weather so badly to make all of the layering appropriate again.
I did a tiny purchase on ASOS for this knit co-ord that came with a midi skirt and crop top won here. Both are from ASOS’ owned brand as well as these pleated striped trousers. The trousers hit me so high at the waist which I absolutely love, and the pleated front and brown color give me all of the thrifted dad’s trousers kinda vibe. I’ve added the black Isabel Marant belt which still takes me some time to figure out how to loop that thing, but it just adds so much interest and dimension to my outfit. And I’ve worn it with a dress, seen in my latest wedding guest video, here.
This outfit very much screams my style, tailored, fitted yet comfortable. One of my favorites I’ve put together after a while. And before continuing with today’s blog post, feel free to check out my fall music playlist, just some slow and moody songs that I’ve been listening on repeat:
OUTFIT DETAILS: crop top: ASOS | pleated trousers: ASOS | belt: ISABEL MARANT | bag: YSL | mules: JIMMY CHOO | watch: ROSEFIELD | all gold jewelry: MEJURI
Sharing 11 top trends that I see will pop up everywhere this fall 2019:
And as you can see, camels and brown tones are the ‘it’ colors of the season, again. As I always like to say, stick with classics! Opt for solid colors or minimal and subtle prints like checkers or stripes. Invest in quality brands that you LOVE (designers, big or small) so that you’d get the satisfaction as well as the longevity, pieces that you could rewear and repeat for years to come.
Majority of the trend pieces (linked above) are designers, and to be honest, I cannot afford to buy myself. However, I’d rather link and hope these kinds of wishlists will serve as an inspiration. It’s always fun for me to creating wishlists like this since I get an excuse to browse what’s new and hot as well as narrowing down pieces I’d personally acquire in the near future. Hope this post gets you excited for fall just as much as I am right now, and stay tuned for all of the NYFW (no, I’m not YET going to fashion weeks… 🙁 )and fall fashion content!!!
